50cl reusable brown bottle. Almost mindnumbingly generic label - beer name, crest of the brewery and a motif of hops and barley. Always the same...
Hazy, but only very slightly, golden colour, with an excellent crest of fluffy white head. Sticks around to the bottom of the class leaving excellent lacing.
Slightly generic soda nose, but with enough hefe yeast aromas to be recognisable. Good banana esters, and a hint of clove, but stronger on the fruit side of things. Not a powerful nose, but reasonable enough.
Mmm... better on the palate, with an almost caramelly creaminess which slips over your tongue, leaving a refreshing slightly sour wheat character. Slight fruity resonances and a rather sprightly and not unpleasant note of hops - not a lot, but very subtly done. It's pretty good, although still a fair way off the pinnacles of the style.
Mmm, very drinkable. This is a good representative of the hefeweizen style, without actually taking you to the heights that it sometimes brings. Quite enjoyable to drink though.
